• Digital with custom notes: you will receive the standard version instantly, then the edited version with your custom requests will be emailed within 24 business hours by our artists

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?
Yes, but please note: P.O. Box orders can only ship via USPS standard service — there is no faster/expedited option for P.O. Boxes. This means delivery takes longer than usual, and tracking can be slow or show limited updates between hand-off and delivery.

For larger canvas sizes (L & XL) we'll need a physical street address, as these can't be delivered to a P.O. Box. Whenever possible, please use a street address at checkout for the fastest, fully-tracked delivery.

Will it really look like them?

That is the point: the painting follows the face in the photo, its shape, eyes, nose, mouth, hairline, moustache or beard, glasses and age. The free preview shows it before you pay, and if a detail is off after you order, an artist adjusts it before anything is printed.

Which photo works best?

The clearest copy you have: the print itself photographed flat by a window, without glare, or a scan. Cabinet cards, tintypes, real-photo postcards, wartime snapshots and faded colour prints all work. The painting is made from a small copy of each photo, so if the face is small (a full-length card on its mount, a farm snapshot), crop the photo to the person on your phone first, head to waist.

Can a faded or damaged photo work?

Yes. Sepia, black-and-white, faded, scratched, creased or torn photos come out restored, in full natural colour: the scratches, stains and the card mount are left out, and each person is painted at the age they are in the photo.

Will the clothes be the ones in the photo?

Yes: the high collar, the cravat, the watch chain, the lace, the cameo, the uniform, exactly as they wore them in the photo, painted in believable colours. Nothing is modernized or swapped for something fancier.

How many people can be in it?

Made for two, from one photo of the couple or one photo of each. Four photos reach the painting in all. A photo of two to four people is cut into one picture per person and each counts, so a wedding photo of the couple counts as two. Check the little thumbnails before you generate, then count the faces in the free preview.

Can something be changed after I order?
