The Fields Back Home Familjeporträtt

What the painting shows

The family painted on the country lane by the old family farm, the hills and the fields at harvest time behind them. The place comes from your photo: the farmhouse, the barn, the walls and lanes, the fields, the hills or the sea beyond. Without a photo of the place, the design paints a whitewashed farmhouse with a red-tiled roof in rolling wheat fields.

• Paints the real place from your photo: the farmhouse, the barn, the walls and lanes, the fields, the hills or the sea beyond.
• The family painted on the country lane by the old family farm.
• Four photos in all: the place plus up to three people, or a group photo.
• Old and black-and-white photos come out in full colour.
• Free preview first; nothing is printed until you approve it.

Who it is for

A gift for parents and grandparents (a birthday, an anniversary, Christmas), after a trip back to the old town, for a family reunion, or in memory of the grandparents who came from there.

How it is made

Upload a photo of the place on its own, then the family, and see the free preview in a few minutes. If you order, an artist checks the portrait and reads your order note, and nothing is printed until you approve it. The digital file is ready right after checkout. A canvas is printed and stretched in 6–8 business days after you approve the artwork, then ships free with tracking: about 3–5 business days in the US and 5–12 business days elsewhere. Check the live delivery estimate at checkout.

Their place, not a postcard

Most hometown art is a stock view of a famous city. This painting starts from the family’s own photo of the place, the square, the street, the harbour or the fields they know, and keeps its buildings, colours and shape, with the family painted in it from their own photos.
