How it's made

You upload a clear photo of his face — front-facing works best, though three-quarter angles usually come out fine. Our system runs an AI face-placement pass that drops his likeness into the Renaissance costume and background. Here's the part most shops don't tell you: we discard roughly 1 in 12 generations because the face doesn't lock properly — the jaw sits wrong, the lighting doesn't match the period style, whatever. When that happens, we regenerate rather than push it through. After a clean generation clears the automated check, one of our artists does a manual pass — adjusting skin tone, shadow depth, and period-accurate detail around the collar and embroidery. Then it goes to print on a 380gsm poly-cotton canvas with UV-resistant inks, gets hand-stretched over a 1.5-inch pine frame, and ships. Our head of production, Maya Chen, won't release a canvas if the face doesn't read as the actual person from six feet away. That's the actual standard we're held to internally.

What makes this different

US orders ship in 5-7 business days; EU customers should expect 7-14 days depending on customs. The canvas arrives gallery-wrapped — just hang it. To keep it looking right: avoid direct sunlight for extended periods (UV-resistant inks help, but prolonged exposure still dulls any canvas over years), wipe dust with a dry microfiber cloth, and don't use cleaning sprays. If anything's wrong with your order — face didn't capture right, canvas arrived damaged, you changed your mind about the size — contact us within 60 days and we'll sort it. Reprint or refund, your call. We don't fight returns; it's not worth anyone's time.
