Can you ship to a P.O. Box?
Yes, but please note: P.O. Box orders can only ship via USPS standard service — there is no faster/expedited option for P.O. Boxes. This means delivery takes longer than usual, and tracking can be slow or show limited updates between hand-off and delivery.

For larger canvas sizes (L & XL) we'll need a physical street address, as these can't be delivered to a P.O. Box. Whenever possible, please use a street address at checkout for the fastest, fully-tracked delivery.

Hvor det startet, høsten 1979: olivengrønne skap, det polerte linoleumsgulvet som skinner i lyset fra de høye vinduene, troféskapet, fjærlett hår, kordfløyel og et puka-skallkjede. Dette Hvor Vi Møttes-portrettet viser to bestevenner på seksten år, leende ved skapene sine, fra det gamle bildet av dem den gang, malt i varme oljetoner fra 1970-tallet.

Slik fungerer det: last opp det gamle bildet av dere to fra den gang (siden finner hver av dere på bildet): legg trykket flatt ved et vindu og ta bilde rett på med telefonen, uten gjenskinn i ansiktene. To skolebilder, ett av hver, fungerer også. Et bilde fra i dag maler dere slik dere er nå, tilbake i gangen fra 1979. Alle males i alderen de har på sitt eget bilde, og falmede eller svart-hvite utskrifter blir i varme, naturlige farger.

The scene

Where it started, in the autumn of 1979: olive-green lockers, the polished linoleum shining with light from the tall windows, the trophy case, feathered hair, corduroy and a puka-shell necklace. This Where We Met portrait paints two best friends at sixteen, laughing at their lockers, from the old photo of the two of them back then, in warm 1970s-toned oil.

How it’s made

Do we need a photo of the two of us together?

No. Upload one photo of the two of you (the page finds each person in it), or a separate photo of each of you. Up to six photos; the painting holds exactly the people you upload.

Can I use an old photo of us?

Yes. Lay the print flat by a window and take a straight photo of it with your phone, with no glare on the faces. Each person is painted at the age they are in the photo, and faded or black-and-white prints come out in warm, natural colour.

Can three friends be in it, or a man and a woman?

Yes. The scene is drawn for two friends, and the painting follows the photos you upload: three friends, or a woman and her oldest friend who is a man, both work. Use photos where every face is clear; the free preview shows each face before you order.

Will it look like a couple portrait?

No. The scenes are painted with the body language of old friends: side by side, laughing, a hand on an arm. If something should be different, write it in the order note: an artist reads every note, and nothing is printed until you approve it.

What if we upload a photo from today?

Everyone is painted at the age they are in the photo, so a photo from today paints the two of you as you are now, back in the 1979 hallway in its clothes. To be sixteen again, use the old photo, or the Then and Now design to have both.
