You upload a clear photo of your house (straight-on works best — we'll explain what to avoid in the FAQ) plus a photo or photos featuring up to 4 family members. Our system runs an initial composition pass, placing the family in front of the home in a loose watercolor style. Here's the part we don't hide: roughly 1 in 10 of those first-pass generations gets rejected internally before it ever reaches an artist — usually because the roofline warped, or a face came out asymmetrical, or the proportions just look wrong. An artist then refines the approved composition: corrects skin tone, sharpens the house detail, and adjusts the watercolor wash so it reads as hand-rendered rather than algorithmically flat. The final file is printed on 400-GSM cotton-poly museum canvas with UV-resistant inks, then gallery-wrapped on a solid 1.5-inch pine frame. We print to order, so there's a 2–3 day production window before it ships, which is already baked into those estimates. For care: keep it out of direct sunlight if you can (UV-resistant inks help, but nothing's immortal), wipe dust with a dry microfiber cloth, and don't hang it in a room with chronic humidity issues, like directly above a stovetop. If anything's off when it arrives — wrong composition, a print defect, a face that didn't render correctly — our 60-day satisfaction policy covers a reprint or refund, no argument. We've had maybe 40 reprints in the past year on this product specifically, almost all of them traced back to a blurry source photo, which is why we now flag that during upload.
