You upload a clear, well-lit photo — front-facing works best, though we can work with three-quarter angles — and our system composites your face into the Hussar scene using a multi-step AI process trained specifically on portrait faces, not general imagery. That's where the 1-in-12 rejection rate comes in: our head of production, Maya Chen, reviews every composite before it goes to an artist, and if the face landmarks don't lock cleanly to the jaw and brow of the base portrait, we regenerate rather than patch. An artist then refines skin tone, lighting continuity, and edge detail by hand — usually 45 to 90 minutes of actual human work per piece. The final image is printed on 400gsm museum-grade canvas with archival UV-resistant inks, then stretched over a solid pine frame. We do not use hollow or MDF frames. US orders ship in 5–7 business days; EU and UK customers typically see delivery in 7–14 business days, though customs delays around peak holidays (November–December especially) can push that to 16 days — we've seen it, so order early if it's time-sensitive. Canvas care is straightforward: dry dust with a soft cloth, keep out of direct sustained sunlight, and don't hang in high-humidity rooms like bathrooms. The inks are archival and UV-resistant, but no canvas loves a south-facing window indefinitely. If you're unhappy with the portrait for any reason within 60 days of delivery, we'll reprint or refund — no forms, no runaround. Email the order number and a photo of the issue and we handle it same day, usually.
