Can you ship to a P.O. Box?
Yes, but please note: P.O. Box orders can only ship via USPS standard service — there is no faster/expedited option for P.O. Boxes. This means delivery takes longer than usual, and tracking can be slow or show limited updates between hand-off and delivery.

For larger canvas sizes (L & XL) we'll need a physical street address, as these can't be delivered to a P.O. Box. Whenever possible, please use a street address at checkout for the fastest, fully-tracked delivery.

The scene

The same red vinyl booth every Saturday: morning sun through the blinds, thick white mugs of coffee, eggs, bacon, pancakes, a slice of cherry pie and the little chrome jukebox on the table. This Saturday at the Diner portrait paints two old friends laughing at the old story one more time, in warm impasto oil. The whole Saturday group fits too: it paints exactly the people you upload.

TL;DR: An oil painting of two lifelong best friends laughing in a red vinyl booth at an old chrome diner, painted from your photos: each person keeps their own face and age. Free preview first.

Who it’s for

A man giving it to his oldest friend for a 65th or 70th birthday, a retirement or Christmas; or a wife ordering it for her husband and the friend he has fished, golfed or had breakfast with for forty years.

How it’s made

Upload one photo of the two of you, or a separate photo of each of you, up to six photos (a photo of two to four people brings each of them). An old print works: lay it flat by a window and photograph it straight on with your phone. A free preview appears in minutes, with no payment. If you order, an artist checks the portrait, and nothing is printed until you approve it.

What makes it different

Most best-friend gifts are a name-and-date print or a cartoon of two stick figures. This one paints the two of you, with your own faces, into a scene from the friendship, the way it felt: the porch, the coast road, the Christmas shopping day, the place you met.

Preguntas frecuentes

Do we need a photo of the two of us together?

No. Upload one photo of the two of you (the page finds each person in it), or a separate photo of each of you. Up to six photos; the painting holds exactly the people you upload.

Can I use an old photo of us?

Yes. Lay the print flat by a window and take a straight photo of it with your phone, with no glare on the faces. Each person is painted at the age they are in the photo, and faded or black-and-white prints come out in warm, natural colour.

Can three friends be in it, or a man and a woman?

Yes. The scene is drawn for two friends, and the painting follows the photos you upload: three friends, or a woman and her oldest friend who is a man, both work. Use photos where every face is clear; the free preview shows each face before you order.

Will it look like a couple portrait?

No. The scenes are painted with the body language of old friends: side by side, laughing, a hand on an arm. If something should be different, write it in the order note: an artist reads every note, and nothing is printed until you approve it.
