What the painting shows

The family painted in the square or the street of the town on Christmas Eve, lights strung overhead, a tall tree glowing and a candle in every window (snow only where the place is wintry; a warm, clear Christmas night where it is not). The place comes from your photo: the buildings, the tower, the colours and the square, dressed for Christmas. Without a photo of the place, the design paints a snowy Central-European market square with pastel gabled houses and a clock tower.

Who it is for

A gift for parents and grandparents at Christmas, for the first Christmas after a trip back, or in memory of the grandparents who came from there.

How it is made

Upload a photo of the place on its own, then the family, and see the free preview in a few minutes. If you order, an artist checks the portrait and reads your order note, and nothing is printed until you approve it. The digital file is ready right after checkout. A canvas is printed and stretched in 6–8 business days after you approve the artwork, then ships free with tracking: about 3–5 business days in the US and 5–12 business days elsewhere. Check the live delivery estimate at checkout.

Their place, not a postcard

Most hometown art is a stock view of a famous city. This painting starts from the family’s own photo of the place, the square, the street, the harbour or the fields they know, and keeps its buildings, colours and shape, with the family painted in it from their own photos.
