How it's made

Our artists then do the actual heavy lifting: they map your family's faces onto the composition manually, adjusting jaw lines, skin tone, eye spacing, and lighting match. We reject roughly 1 in 12 generations at this stage because the face just doesn't lock in convincingly — our head of production, Maya Chen, calls it "the blink test," meaning if you glance at it and it reads as a stranger, it goes back. The approved composition gets refined in Photoshop, color-graded to the canvas medium (which absorbs differently than a screen), and sent to print on 400gsm artist-grade canvas with archival UV inks. Keep it out of direct sunlight if you can; the archival inks hold up well, but no canvas loves a south-facing window for 10 years straight. If there's a production issue — wrong faces, color way off from what you saw in preview, arrived damaged — reach out within 60 days and we'll reprint or refund, no restocking fee, no arguing about it.
