How it's made

You upload a photo — ideally front-facing, reasonably lit, at least 500px wide, though we work with what we get. Our system runs an initial AI composition that places the facial structure into the meadow scene, and that's where the rejection rate comes in: we discard about 1 in 12 of those first passes because the face doesn't lock correctly — proportions drift, or the lighting mismatch is too jarring to fix. The ones that survive go to one of our human artists, who refine the skin tones, sharpen the eyes (always the eyes — that's where likeness lives), and hand-place the name text in a style that fits the composition rather than stamped on top of it. The whole process takes 24–48 hours before the file goes to print on 400gsm poly-cotton blend canvas, stretched over a 1.5-inch pine frame and sealed with a UV-resistant matte coat. US orders ship in 5–7 business days from production completion; EU and UK customers should expect 7–14 business days. The canvas arrives ready to hang — hardware included. Keep it out of direct sunlight if you can; the UV coating handles ambient light fine, but prolonged direct sun will fade any canvas over time (ours included — we'd rather be straight with you on that). If the portrait arrives damaged in transit, or if the likeness genuinely doesn't look like your person, contact us within 60 days and we'll redo it or refund it — no interrogation, no restocking fee. Memorial orders get flagged in our system for priority support response, so you're not waiting three days for a reply during an already hard time.
