How it's made

You upload her photo — ideally a clear, front-facing shot with decent lighting, though we'll work with what we get — and our system generates a mermaid composition with her facial features mapped into the scene. Here's the part most competitors don't talk about: we actually reject roughly 1 in 12 of those initial generations internally. Our head of production, Maya Chen, has a hard rule that if the face doesn't lock cleanly to the subject's bone structure, we regenerate rather than patch it in post. After a generation passes that check, a human artist goes in and refines the skin tones, adjusts the tail iridescence to complement her complexion, and sharpens the pearl detail work. US orders ship in 5-7 business days from production close; EU and UK customers should expect 7-14 days depending on customs. The canvas arrives wrapped in protective film inside a double-walled box — we've had very few transit damage claims, but if yours arrives with any issue, photograph it and email us within 7 days and we'll reprint at no charge. Our 60-day satisfaction policy covers reprints and refunds for any portrait where the likeness is clearly off or the quality isn't right; the one thing it doesn't cover is a change of heart about the theme after production starts, so make sure she's actually a mermaid person before you hit order. To care for the canvas: keep it out of direct sunlight if you can, and if it ever needs cleaning, a dry microfiber cloth only — no sprays, no damp rags.
