You upload a photo — ideally clear, front-facing, decent lighting, though we've worked with worse — and our system generates a caricature base using a trained illustration model that maps facial landmarks and amplifies defining features proportionally. Here's the part most shops don't tell you: we discard about 1 in 12 generations internally because the output either misses a likeness or crosses into something that looks mean rather than fun. A human artist then refines the accepted base — adjusting proportions, softening anything that reads as unflattering without being asked, adding the name text and any background customization you've chosen. The final file goes to print on 400gsm museum-grade canvas with UV-resistant, fade-resistant inks, then gets stretched and gallery-wrapped in-house before shipping. Our head of production, Maya Chen, has a rule: "If I wouldn't give this to my own parents, it doesn't ship." Blunt, but it's kept our revision request rate under 8%.

What makes this different

A generic caricature print you'd order from a street-fair app gives you a face pasted onto a clip-art body with a couple of stock accessories. That's fine for a $10 novelty. This is different in two ways that actually matter. First, the artist refinement step means someone with taste has looked at your specific faces before it goes to print — not just an algorithm that satisfied a threshold. US orders ship in 5-7 business days from production completion; EU customers should expect 7-14 business days depending on customs. Canvas prints ship rolled in a heavy-duty tube or flat-packed depending on size — we upgraded our flat-pack packaging in March 2025 after a run of corner-damage complaints that, honestly, we should've caught sooner. To care for the canvas: keep it out of direct sunlight if possible (UV inks help, but years of direct sun will get anything), wipe dust with a dry microfiber cloth, and don't use cleaning sprays near the surface.
