How attractive are you on camera?
Take a selfie or record up to 10 seconds with your camera, on your phone or computer, or upload one. Your sex appeal score lands above your head, with a 1–10 rating, your type and tips to raise it.
Adults 18+ only: no score is shown unless everyone in the photo looks like an adult. The camera feed and the face scan stay in your browser; your video never leaves your device. One small still frame is checked once for adults only and to write your reading, then discarded. Not stored, not used for training.
How this attractiveness test works
Use your camera (phone or computer: take a selfie after a 3-second countdown, or record up to 10 seconds) or pick a photo or short video. A face-mapping model runs inside your browser and places 478 points on each face it finds (up to four people), along with 52 expression readings such as smile, eye squint, brow raise and head tilt. Our scoring turns those readings into seven parts: expression, eye contact, confidence, light, focus, framing and symmetry. The weighted total becomes your sex appeal percentage, between 55 and 99, and the label lands above your head the way the filter does.
The same photo always gets the same score: there is no random spin behind the number, only the animation. A video is scanned about three times a second over its first 10 seconds; your best third of moments sets the score, and a face that moves through several expressions earns up to three bonus points.
What the score measures, and what it never does
The score is about this photo, not about your worth. Most of it comes from things you can change in the next shot: a real smile or a slow smolder, eye contact with the lens, a relaxed brow and a slight head tilt, soft light from the front, a steady phone and a face that fills about a third of the frame. That is why every result comes with the two tips that would raise it most.
It never reads your body, weight, skin or hair, and it never compares you with anyone else. Symmetry counts for only 8%, and only when you face the camera: a turned head cannot be measured fairly, so the tool stops trying. A score in the 70s with good tips is a photo problem, not a face problem.
Face rating out of 10, symmetry and the golden ratio
If you came for a number out of ten, your percentage converts directly: 87% is an 8.7. Under it you get your facial symmetry, measured by mirroring the mesh across the middle of your face in 3D so a slight turn does not count against you, and three classic golden ratio proportions: face length to width, mouth to nose width and eye spacing to face width, each next to the 1.618 (or 0.46) ideal.
Treat the golden ratio as party trivia. It has a long history in art, but faces that people find attractive do not cluster tightly around it, which is why it counts for nothing in the score.
Adults only, and your photo stays private
This calculator is for adults. Before any score appears, one small still frame is checked by an AI model for two things: that every person in it clearly looks over 18, and that it is an everyday photo. If the check is unsure, there is no score; we refuse when in doubt, so some young-looking adults are turned away too.
The face scan and the score run on your device, and your video never leaves it. The one still frame for the check is sent once, read and discarded: it is not stored, not added to a gallery and not used to train anything. The check also writes your short, playful reading.
From your type to a portrait
Every result names a type: The Smolder, Pure Sunshine, The Charmer, The Mystery, Certified Goofball or Main Character. Each one suits certain portrait styles: a smolder belongs in Old Hollywood or a cowboy portrait, a goofball in a wanted poster, a mystery in a gothic portrait. The result links the three that fit you, and each one starts with a free preview made from your photo.
For a better photo before you even start, the portrait pose ideas and the portrait lighting explorer show exactly what the tips mean.
How it works
- Open your camera to take a selfie or record up to 10 seconds, or upload a photo or video. The face scan runs in your browser; a short adults-only check runs on one still frame.
- Watch the score land above your head, read your type, 1–10 rating, symmetry, golden ratio and tips, then save the image or video to share.
- Scan only yourself or people who agreed to it. If anyone in the photo may be under 18, there is no score.
Frequently asked questions
How attractive am I?
On camera, this test gives a fair answer for one photo: a sex appeal percentage from 55 to 99 (87% equals 8.7 out of 10) built from expression, eye contact, confidence, light, focus, framing and symmetry. Most of it depends on the shot, so a better photo can raise it by ten points or more; the two tips under your result say how.
Is this the Instagram sex appeal calculator filter?
It works the same way on screen: “SEX APPEAL CALCULATOR” and a percentage land above your head. The Instagram filter spins to a random number; this one measures your actual photo, gives the same score every time for the same photo, and explains it. You can save the result as an image or, for a video, as a clip to post.
How accurate is an AI attractiveness test?
No tool can measure attractiveness itself: it depends on who is looking. What this test measures reliably is how a photo presents a face: expression, eye contact, light, sharpness and framing, plus symmetry when you face the camera. We tested chatbots that rate faces directly: the same face got 45 from one model and 65 from another, and some refused. That is why the number here comes from measurements, not from a chatbot’s opinion.
Why did I get no score?
Either no face was found, or the adults-only check could not confirm that everyone in the photo is over 18, or the photo was not an everyday one. The check refuses when in doubt, so it turns away some young-looking adults. A clear, front-facing photo of just you usually works.
Is my photo or video stored?
No. The face scan runs in your browser and your video never leaves your device. One small still frame is sent once for the adults-only check and the written reading, then discarded: it is not stored, published or used for training.
What is a good attractiveness score?
Scores run from 55 to 99. Most clear, well-lit selfies land between 80 and 95; a dim, blurry or side-on photo usually lands in the 60s or 70s. The best way up is a real expression, eye contact with the lens and soft light from the front.
Can I use my webcam or phone camera?
Yes. Tap “Use my camera” on a phone or a computer, allow the camera, and you see the face scan live over your own face. Take a photo after a 3-second countdown, or record up to 10 seconds (sound is optional). The live feed stays in your browser; only one still frame is checked, then discarded.
Can I test a couple or a group photo?
Yes, up to four people: each face gets its own label above the head and its own result card. Everyone in the photo must be an adult and must be happy to be scored.
