How it's made

You upload a photo, we extract the faces using our in-house AI pipeline, and the system generates a portrait composition in the Mother theme — warm tones, painterly depth, the kind of light that makes a face look like it belongs in a gallery. From there, our artists review every single generation. We discard about 1 in 12 at this stage because the face-lock didn't hold — a jaw that drifted, eyes that lost their shape, something that looks close but isn't actually them. The approved version goes to canvas printing on 400gsm museum-weight substrate with archival UV-resistant inks, then hand-stretched over a 1.5-inch hardwood frame. The whole thing — from your upload to a print-ready file — takes around 24–48 hours. Canvas ships from our US fulfillment center within 1–2 business days after you approve your preview.

What makes this different

Generic canvas prints take a photo and enlarge it. That's it. What you get here is different in one specific way that matters: the portrait is a reinterpretation of your photo, not a reproduction. The lighting shifts. The composition breathes. The faces stay yours — that's the whole point of the face-lock process — but they're rendered in a way that looks like a painting someone commissioned, not a Walgreens enlargement. US orders ship in 5–7 business days from approval; EU and UK orders run 7–14 days depending on customs. The canvas itself needs almost no maintenance — dust lightly with a dry microfiber cloth if needed, keep it out of direct sunlight (the archival inks handle indirect light just fine, but prolonged UV exposure will eventually dull any canvas, ours included). Don't hang it in a bathroom or anywhere with regular humidity swings. If anything's off when it arrives — damaged frame, print defect, faces that don't look right — our 60-day satisfaction policy covers a reprint or full refund, no lengthy back-and-forth required.
