How it's made

You upload your photo — ideally a clear, front-facing shot in decent light, though we've worked with worse — and our system runs it through an AI face-placement layer that maps your family members' faces onto pre-composed Renaissance scene figures. We discard about 1 in 12 generations internally: if a face doesn't sit right, the skin tone drifts, or two faces compete for the same light source, we regenerate before it ever reaches a human. Once the composition passes that filter, one of our production artists refines facial details, adjusts contrast to match the painted background's warmth, and checks that every person is recognizable. The final file goes to print on a 380gsm poly-cotton museum canvas with archival inks, stretched over a 1.5-inch pine frame.
