The one-star we're not proud of

A customer in November 2024 ordered a surprise portrait as a 50th birthday gift. It didn't arrive in time. The person opened an empty box on their birthday. We shipped the real canvas the next day, refunded the order in full, and lost a customer we didn't deserve to keep. That review still sits on our Trustpilot page.

What we did after:

  1. Dropped our previous US carrier in December 2024 after holiday transit data showed a 14% late-delivery rate. Switched to a UPS-first dispatch for all US orders.
  2. Added a second production facility in Q1 2025 to cut queue time during November–December.
  3. Added a deadline calculator on checkout. If you're ordering after December 10 for a December 25 delivery, we now tell you plainly that express shipping is required — or that you should pick the digital version instead.

This didn't erase the review. It shouldn't. But the 2025 holiday cycle saw a 0.4% late-delivery rate in the US, down from 7.8% the year before.

We do not ask customers to delete reviews in exchange for refunds. We also don't offer discounts to edit reviews. Both practices are prohibited by Trustpilot, and frankly they're the kind of shortcut you can smell on a review page.

Do you ever delete negative reviews?

No — both because Trustpilot prohibits it and because suppressing negatives is a red flag on a review page. If a review you left didn't appear, it was likely flagged by Trustpilot for being off-topic or from a non-buyer, which is their call, not ours.
