A portrait of Dad for Christmas

A portrait of himself in a world he loves is personal, a little funny, and impossible for him to have bought already. Give it from the kids, or from the whole family. For Christmas ideas picked for dads, see Christmas gifts for Dad; for a grandfather, Christmas gifts for Grandpa.

When to order for Christmas

Canvas prints are printed and stretched in 6–8 business days, then tracked shipping takes 3–5 business days in the US and 5–12 elsewhere, depending on the country, so order a canvas by early December in the US, or by late November elsewhere. A digital file is emailed when you order.

Dad portraits by theme

Viking, cowboy, king and royal, knight, pirate and superhero portraits for men. Every design is made from a photo you upload, and no costume is needed. Also for Father’s Day and his birthday.

How it works

Pick a design, upload a clear, front-facing photo and see a free preview before you order. You can ask for changes before anything is printed. You see the price of each format and size when you choose it, before you pay: a digital file, or a canvas in several sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you get a dad who wants nothing?
A portrait of himself as a Viking, a cowboy, a king or a hero. It is personal and unexpected, and because it is made from his own photo, he cannot already own it.
What photo of Dad should I upload?
A clear, well-lit, front-facing photo of him. A phone photo is fine, and no costume is needed: the outfit and the setting are part of the design.
Can I keep it a surprise?
Yes. Use a photo of him you already have: he does not need to pose, and you see the preview before you order.
How much does a portrait for Dad cost?
The preview is free. You see the price of each format and size when you choose it, before you pay, and a digital file costs less than a canvas.
When should I order for Christmas?
Canvas prints take 6–8 business days to print plus 3–5 business days of tracked shipping in the US (5–12 elsewhere, depending on the country), so order a canvas by early December in the US, or by late November elsewhere. A digital file is emailed when you order.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. The preview is free, and you can ask for changes before anything is printed.
